Retrieve Messages
When you are on the Verizon Wireless Network you can access your voicemail with just one number: Press * 8 6 then SEND
If you are not on the Verizon Wireless Network (calling from another number...i.e. your home or work number) Dial your 10-digit wireless phone number.
Number Recognition: When retrieving messages from your wireless phone the new system will recognize your number, bypass your greeting and immediately ask for your password.
Spanish Language Option: You now have the choice of English or Spanish prompts. To change the language of all of your Voice Mail options, simply select option 3 (Greetings) from the Main Menu, then press 1 (Personal Greetings) and 4 (Language Options).
Skip Greeting: Saves your callers valuable time. This feature enables you to skip your greeting by pressing . A beep will sound, and your callers will then be able to leave their messages much faster.
Fax Delivery (requires Enhanced Voice Mail): Use your wireless phone to send/receive faxes.
Setting Up Your Voice Mail
Your DEFAULT PASSWORD is 1 + LAST 4 DIGITS OF CELL #
Dial * 8 6 then press SEND from your wireless phone, when on the Verizon Wireless Network. NOTE: If * 8 6 SEND does not work because you are off the Verizon Wireless network simply dial your wireless phone number from your wireless phone or from a touch-tone/landline phone.

Dial * 8 6 from your wireless phone. If this does not work follow the steps for dialing off the Verizon Wireless Network.
Dial you wirless phone number from your wireless phone or from a touch-tone/landline phone.
Press # to interrupt your greeting. TIP: Press # quickly. If you don't press # before your greeting stops, the system will think you want to leave a message.
Listen to the voice prompts and enter your password.
Off the Verizon Wireless Network:
Dial your wireless phone number from you wireless phone or from a touch-tone/landline phone.
Press # to interrupt your greeting. TIP: Press # quickly. If you don't press # before your greeting stops, the system will think you want to leave a message.

Note: Call Forwarding preempts Voicemail but returns when forwarding instructions are cancelled. With Call Forwarding turned on, your callers will not be routed to your voice mailbox. Call Forwarded calls to a toll number will incur toll charges.
