How do you change the voicemail on the Droid Eris?

I just got the Droid eris and it's a really nice phone but I can't figure out how to change the voicemail (right now it just says when people call %26quot;I'm sorry but the person you reached doesn't have a voicemail blah blah blah) And I have been dialing *123 which is the voicemails number on my phone and it says my call can't be completed and it even says I called voicemail. SO PLEASE HELP!How do you change the voicemail on the Droid Eris?Sorry, thats not the right number for VM- on Verizon, its always 1. So hold down 1, and it should call it for you
