Upgrading my old Alltel voicemail to Verizon?

As you know Verizon took over Alltel last year, and I have upgraded to a new verizon phone, but my voicemail is still Alltel and won't let me change to a generic greeting, I HAVE to record something, which I don't want to. So how do I upgrade to a Verizon voicemail? I have tried dialing 611, there are no options for it. I have tried the options on my Alltel voicemail but nothing.Upgrading my old Alltel voicemail to Verizon?Just go to the verizon website and do a live chat or just call their help line. My verizon phone got messed up so i called and they were a big help.
